Police officer that raped 14-year-old girl for 6 days has been dismissed

There was a report of a police officer that was brought to notice last week, Barau Garba, who allegedly abducted a lost 14-year-old girl and rape her for 6 days, instead of helping her to find her way back home.

Following the viral report of the incident, the culprit who was attached to Anambra State Police Command has been reportedly dismissed after a proper room trial on Monday, October 30, 2017.

Punch reports that the Command’s Police PRO, Mrs. Nkiruka Nwode, who confirmed the dismissal report, further disclosed that Barau will be will arraigned in a magistrate’s court in Anambra State on November 8. Before committing the rape offence, Barau was temporarily attached to the Okpoko Police Division in Onitsha.
